It brings together the mandates of the Chief Minister, Education Minister and Industires & Skills Minister of the state. Saksham Haryana – Employment is operational in all 22 districts of Haryana.
Through extensive profiling, we identified sectors with high demand for human resource. We leveraged the on-going trend of sectors transitioning from unorganized to organized such as Taxi Cab and Security Guard providers. We also identified apprenticeships as a high potential opportunity.
Our demand based approach guided the design phase. We chose to pursue public sector recruitment reforms, implementation of the Apprentices Act and linking youth to private jobs. Extensive field visits and data analysis about existing processed and candidate behaviour helped us to accurately identify our target candidates.
We are currently diagnosing the skilling ecosystem in Haryana and will soon work closely with the Government to transform the long-term and short-term skilling set ups in the state.
Saksham Haryana – Employment has delivered on high impact avenues to increase available jobs by collaborating with cab aggregators (such as Ola and Uber) and security guard aggregators (such as G4S and Terrier). Additionally, we have organised mega-job fairs every month and developed online placement platforms for college students to assess their existing skills and develop any missing skills for employment.
To link opportunities with the right talent, we are creating a functional employment exchange portal. This portal will provide a platform for employer-employee registrations. We are also streamlining public sector recruitment via the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
For apprenticeships, we have encouraged private participation by recognising establishments that have been proactive in appointing apprentices as ‘Saksham Sathi’. We set up a strong review and monitoring mechanisms at the state and district level, appointing 10,000+ apprentices in the first three months
