A three year programme to build best-in-class, in-house assessment cell for school education
in the state, and drive improvement in learning outcomes of students
The Vidya Vikasam Framework
Glimpses of Our Work
A 13 member Assessment Cell, a first of its kind in the country, was established and institutionalized in Andhra Pradesh to focus on conducting high-quality assessments to address student learning gaps. This team is undergoing a 3 year rigorous certification program by Centre for Science of Student Learning (CSSL) to design assessments for 38000 schools.
Insightful Report Cards
Parent involvement is proven to be important in improving learning levels of children. To attain this, Andhra Pradesh now sends digital report cards indicating children's academic performance to parents of all 21 lakh students in the state. Integrating this report card with assessment dashboard at school, mandal and district levels enables 1 lakh+ teachers to customise their teaching approach to each student.
Gnana Dhara Remedial Training
To bridge the gap in learning levels of government school children in Andhra Pradesh, a summer residential program was designed and implemented. This massive coordination exercise, being conducted for the first time in the country, received participation from over 57000 students and 4500 teachers. Visible improvement in learning levels has resulted in the design of a year-long remedial program for 6 lakh+ students.
